Podcasts are an ever-expanding medium these days, and I've been lucky enough to find myself involved in them almost since they started. While I've recorded a ton of episodes of various shows for outlets like IGN, 1UP, and GameSpy, I'm most proud of the shows I've created and fostered outside of the workplace.

Rebel FM

Rebel FM was created by a motley crew of freelancers and full-time employees laid off from the website 1UP.com in 2009. This purge of employees helped all of the affected build booming social media presences on Twitter, and thus a few smart people got together and decided to immediately start a new podcast named similarly to the now defunct 1UP FM. While two of the original founders moved on after a relatively short amount of time, myself and Arthur Gies have kept it going for more than five years now with the input of various co-hosts that include or did include Tyler Barber, Matt Chandronait, Phillip Kollar, Nick Suttner, Mitch Dyer, and James Faulkner. On the show we discuss current and past videogames, and over the years we've become known as a reliable and often funny source of videogame commentary with unique insights thanks to our collective decades of experience with perspectives that cover media and development. With listeners that range from consumers to PR to devs making the very games we discuss, we're proud to have built a show that's regularly on the top of iTunes for videogames.

The Comedy Button

The Comedy Button started as an experiment none of us were sure would work out. Could five guys involved in the games industry create a show not about videogames and have it work? Turns out it does, and for over 200 episodes the show has been bringing our humor and wit to tens of thousands of listeners each week. With millions of downloads, a continuing growth in our month-to-month downloads, a wildly successful Kickstarter, and the biggest podcast Patreon campaign ever, I'm immensely proud of what we've accomplished. I left the show at the end of August 2016 to pursue more free time with my wife and game development outside of day job.
